7 Renfrew Street, G2 3AB
2001-present

Built on the site of Green's Playhouse, the Cineworld is itself a record-breaking cinema, holding a Guinness World Record as the World's Tallest Cinema. It could also claim to be the UK's busiest in 2003. Seating around 4,300 spread over an astonishing eighteen screens, it opened as the UGC in 2001 (although it had originally been planned as a Virgin cinema). It was rebranded as Cineworld in 2005. Despite its eighteen screens, the Cineworld can hold less people than Green's could in a single screen on the same site!
